Abstract
ABSTRACT This study aims to examine the factors (mindfulness, mental well-being, escaping from technostress, social bonding, and novelty) that influence the intentions of past and prospective digital detox holiday participants and to understand how these effects manifest through authentic personality in the decision-making process. The analysis used PLS-SEM and involved a sample of 450 participants. Results indicate significant correlations between mindfulness, well-being, escaping from technostress, social bonding, and acceptance of external influence, authentic living, and the intention to participate in digital detox tourism. Authentic living significantly moderates the relationship between mental well-being and the intention to participate in digital detox tourism.
