Abstract

Bimetallic metal-organic framework (BM) and high temperature BM (HTBM) based catalysts have several advantages, including uniformly distributed bimetallic ions, less tendency towards aggregation, and more stable interfacial sites. In this study, CuZn-MOF were synthesized using ZIF-8 as a template, and then calcination at a high temperature in the nitrogen atmosphere. The electrochemical reduction CO2 (ERC) was taking place on an H-type cell in 0.1 M KHCO3 aqueous solution. The HTBM calcination at 700 °C exhibited excellent electrochemical CO2 reduction properties, including high CO selectivity (∼ 90%) and low overpotential (< −1.5 V)
