Abstract

This work reports a monolithic superhydrophobic concrete with excellent corrosion resistance via mixing hydrophobic powder. The results showed that the monolithic superhydrophobic concrete exhibited a water contact angle (WCA) of 159°. More significantly, the corrosion resistance of the monolithic superhydrophobic concrete was greatly improved compared with that of ordinary concrete. We expect this kind of monolithic superhydrophobic concrete to be applied to various construction engineering for anti-corrosion.
