Abstract

Polypyrrole (PPy) is a photothermal agent with great potential for application in the field of photothermal therapy (PTT). However, PPy has obvious hydrophobicity which greatly affects its application prospect. In this work, a reversed-phase self-assembly strategy was used to prepare and obtain PPy-based nanoparticles. The hydrophilic polyphenol-metal self-assembly network was complexed with the PPy molecular chains. The well-dispersed nanoparticles PGE prepared exhibited good magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and photoacoustic imaging (PAI) signals, and had great potential in the field of PTT.
