Abstract
SrTiO3 Nanoparticles The surface properties of different facets of SrTiO3 nanoparticles are investigated by atomic force microscopy by Frieder Mugele and co-workers in article number 2106229. Facet-specific forces, atomic-level surface structure, defects, and charges are characterized in a liquid environment. Their measurements reveal substantial differences in isoelectric points and hydration between adjacent facets. These insights are important for the performance of anisotropic nano particles in (photoelectron-) catalysis and for their colloidal self-assembly.
