Abstract

Facebook is a social media platform that provides image or video sharing services and online news. Given the large number of social media users, Facebook can also be used as a promotional medium by public relations in an educational institution. In addition, social media is also used to gain public sympathy and trust and foster public opinion that is useful and has an impact on the progress of an educational institution. One of the ways used by public relations at MAN 2 Solok Selatan to gain sympathy, trust and foster good public opinion is to use Facebook social media because the level of Facebook users is quite high. This study aims to determine how the use of Facebook as a promotional media used by MAN 2 Solok Selatan. The approach used is qualitative with a literature study method. Sources of data obtained are primary and secondary data sources. Data collection techniques using interviews. The results showed that Facebook as a medium to promote madrasah.
