Abstract

Sociologist and research supervisor, Michel Chauvière provides his views on the key issues raised by the transformation of social work in recent years and the metropolisation movement in the Grand Lyon. In this regard, he explains how the division of social labour leads to a downgrading of social intervention, along with an effort of rationalization and optimization. On the contrary, he advocates a higher versability and more training for social workers.
