Abstract

Flexible organic bistable light-emitting diodes (OBLEDs) were developed by integrating an organic bistable device (OBD) and a high efficiency organic light-emitting diode (OLED) in a tandem device structure on polymer substrate. A transfer printing process was applied to form the organic bistable unit on the metal interlayer between the OBD and OLED using a transfer enhancement layer to facilitate the organic bistable film formation. A high on/off ratio over 100 and bistable luminance control were achieved in the flexible OBLEDs.
