Abstract

Nanostructure zinc oxide was coated on glass using zinc acetate dihydrate, isopropanol, and monoethanolamine by sol-gel spin coating method, preheated at 275°C and postheated at 450°C for 1 h. Trans-bis(acetylacetonato)-bis(4-methylpyridinecobalt(III) hexafluorophosphate was prepared using cobalt acetate tetrahydrate, methanol, acetylacetone, 4-methylpyridine, and ammonium hexafluorophosphate. Nanostructure zinc oxide coated on glass was immersed in the cobalt complex solution and dried at air. Nanostructure coatings were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, diffuse reflectance spectra, and X-ray diffraction techniques. Cobalt complex was characterized by single-crystal X-ray.
