Abstract
In this research, we carried out the performance test on the vapor compression heat pump cycle using zeotropic mixtures of CO_2 and R32. The influence of heat exchanger performance on the cycle performance was evaluated by changing the length and form of evaporator. COP of CO_2 and CO_2/R32 mixtures was improved by changing smooth tube for micro-fin tube and lengthening the heat exchange tube of evaporator. The rate of the increase in COP of mixed refrigerants is small compared with CO_2. This reveals that further improvement of the performance can be expected by adjusting form and length of the heat exchanger suitable for CO_2/R32 mixture refrigerants.
