Abstract

A new scheme is proposed for a posteriori estimation of the accuracy of the approximate solutions to the linear ill-posed problems of the continuation of potential geophysical fields. When special methods are applied for the solution of the ill-posed problems of interest, namely, the algorithms of extraoptimal regularization, these a posteriori estimates have the optimal (in the order of magnitude) accuracy. The proposed theory is illustrated by numerical experiments.
