Abstract
AbstractThe extraction of HgII thiocyanate complexes in various high molecular weight amines and quaternary ammonium salt has been studied. The extraction efficiency of various amines and the dependence of extraction on thiocyanate concentration, pH of the aqueous phase and on metal and amine concentration have been investigated. An attempt has also been made to identify the extracting species by extraction isotherms and log‐log plots of amine concentration vs. distribution ratio.
