Abstract

Pristocerinae is one of the five subfamilies of Bethylidae exhibiting high degree of sexual dimorphism. Prosapanesia Kieffer, a rarely collected pristocerine genus is recorded for the first time from the Oriental region. Two new species based on females, Prosapanesia emarginatasp. nov. and P. orientaliasp. nov. are described with world key to the known female species. The generic diagnosis for both male and female are revised. The distribution of Prosapanesia and its congeners is commented.
