Abstract
Objective To study the expression of long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) prostate cancer-associated lncRNA transcripts 1 (PCAT-1) in non-small cell lung cancer and its significance. Methods Real-time reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) method was used to detect the expression of lncRNA PCAT1 in the lung samples from 59 cases of non-small cell lung cancer from December 2014 to July 2015, and its relationship with clinicopathological features was analyzed. Results The PCAT-1 expression levels in the lung tissues of non-small cell lung cancer were significantly higher than those in the normal lung tissues (7.10±1.93 vs. 2.13±0.28, P<0.05). The PCAT-1 expression level in the lung cancer tissue was positively correlated with tumor size, clinical types and clinical stage (P<0.05). Conclusion lncRNA PACT-1 is highly expressed in non-small cell lung cancer. Key words: Non-small cell lung cancer; Long non-coding RNA; Prostate cancer-associated lncRNA transcripts 1
