Abstract
Objective To study the expression and clinical significance of EphA2 and CyclinD1 in osteosarcoma tissue. Methods The expressions of EphA2 and CyclinD1 in 50 cases of osteosarcoma tissues,20 cases of osteochondroma tissues and 20 cases of normal bone tissues were deteted by immunohisto-chemistry SP method, and the results were analyzed statistically. Results The positive expression rates of EphA2 and CyclinD1 proteins in normal bone and osteochondroma tissues were 0(0/20) ; The positive expression rates of EphA2 and CyclinD 1 proteins in osteosarcoma tissues were 78.00% (39/50)and 70% (35/50),respectively.There were significant differences( P <0.05).The positive expression rates of EphA2 and CyclinD1 proteins in osteosarcoma tissues with grade Ⅲ were higher than those in grade Iand grade Ⅱ.There were significant differences between different clinical stages (P < 0.05 ).There were significant differences in the positive expression rates of EphA2 and CyclinDl proteins in osteesarcoma tissues with and without metastasis (P < 0.05).There was positive correlation of the EphA2 expression with CyclinD1 expression in osteosarcoma tissues (P < 0.01).Conclusions The expressions of EphA2 and CyclinD1 proteins are related with progression of osteosarcoma. There is positive correlation between the expressions of EphA2 and CyclinD1 proteins in osteosarcoma tissues.EphA2 and CyclinDl protein can play synergistic effect on the process of occurrence, development and infiltration, metastasis of osteosarcoma. Key words: Osteosarcoma; EphA2; CyclinD1
