Abstract

Objective To investigate the results and the difficulties of medical physics education for foreign students in Peking University Health Science Center.Methods The difference between the entrance examination score of physics and the final examination score of medical physics was analyzed and an interview on the difficulties in the learning of medical physics was conducted.Results The entrance examination scores of physics were more diversity than that of the medical physics.Most foreign students regarded medical physics as one of the most difficult subject and language was the main problem which they were facing.Conclusions Based on the investigation,several approaches were proposed to improve the achievement of medical physics education,such as teaching in English,optimizing the textbook in English and mixing Chinese students and foreign students in same group to promote problem-based learning.
