Abstract

It is very important to instill rabbani character values in prospective madrasah ibtidaiyah teachers, so that they not only have cognitive intelligence but are also strong in the affective domain so that they have deep-rooted spiritual intelligence. This can be done in the learning process, including mathematics learning. The research approach used was a mixed method with sequential explanatory design. The research was conducted at IAIN Lhokseumawe and IAIN Langsa, because the location of these two educational institutions is in the northern and eastern parts of Aceh Province adjacent to North Sumatra Province which has differences in religious values, culture and character. The respondents were 81 people, consisting of 38 students from IAIN Lhokseumawe and 41 students at IAIN Langsa. Data collection techniques use learning outcomes tests and questionnaires to measure students' Rabbani character values. Data analysis uses Rank-Spearman correlation with SPSS 26, namely sig. (2-tailed) 0.0000.05. The regression test results show that Rabbani character values affect learning outcomes by 12.8%. This indicates that this character value is one of the aspects that has a major influence in improving the mathematics learning outcomes of prospective madrasah ibtidaiyah teachers.
