Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and international trade are two important economic activities in the globalized economy. FDI involves multinational companies making direct investments abroad to gain control or participate in business activities, while international trade involves cross-border transactions of goods and services. There exists a close connection and mutual dependence between the two. FDI promotes the growth of international trade by expanding the scope of investments and market access for enterprises. On the other hand, international trade provides multinational companies with more business opportunities and markets, thus driving the development of FDI. This article aims to explore the linkages and interactions between FDI and international trade, as well as their impact on the global economy and local economies.
