Abstract

The economic crisis and severe austerity measures that have engulfed Greece over the last decade have had a significant impact on the people’s mental health and mental health services (Economou et al., 2013; Triliva, Fragkiadaki, & Balamoutsou, 2013). Increased child poverty is one of the consequences of the economic crisis in Greece. According to Eurostat (2013, 2016), 30.4% of children under 18 in Greece are at risk of poverty or social exclusion.
