Abstract

Konstantinos Fountoulakis and colleagues (March 17, p 1001)1 state that there is no evidence of a causal link between the economic crisis and suicide in Greece. Although only a cohort study would enable causal inferences, converging evidence from different sources points towards a similar direction: efforts should be focused on prevention of suicides.2,3
