Abstract

This study delves into the strategic decision-making process concerning the adoption of hybrid cloud computing among Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) within the context of Bahrain. With the proliferation of digital transformation and the evolving landscape of technological infrastructure, the adoption of hybrid cloud solutions presents a compelling avenue for SMEs to enhance operational efficiency and competitive advantage. This research employs a qualitative approach, engaging in-depth interviews with 11 key stakeholders from diverse SMEs across Bahrain. Through thematic analysis, this study elucidates the multifaceted dimensions of the strategic decision-making process, encompassing factors influencing adoption, perceived benefits, challenges encountered, and the integration of hybrid cloud computing within the broader organizational strategy. The findings shed light on the considerations, including technological, organizational, regulatory, and socio-cultural aspects, shaping the adoption landscape of hybrid cloud solutions among SMEs in Bahrain.
