Abstract

AbstractResilience‐related knowledge and skills are part of all counselors‐in‐training foundational curriculum. We used interpretative phenomenological analysis to explore nine novice counselors’ perceived training experiences in the Predictive 6 Factor (PR6) model of resilience. We identified the following group experiential themes: value of the neuroscience information and PR6 model, counselors’ personal resonance and buy‐in, and considerations for practice. We also identified nine subthemes representing more nuanced elements of the larger themes.
