Abstract

For the successful investigation of crimes involving the MNR, it is important to examine and evaluate all traces and material evidence collected from the crime scene, which require special handling conditions as they are contaminated with radionuclides. This study establishes the possibility of examining both NRM microparticles by SEM-RMA and fingerprints by cyanoacrylate fumigation, on common objects with different surfaces. It is shown that the most complete results can be obtained by analyzing the samples on conductive objects. The surfaces of objects on which limited results can be obtained are determined, as well as the surfaces on which the examination of microparticles and fingerprints is not possible.
