Abstract

Dry eye is a common complication after eye surgery and one of the important factors affecting the quality of surgery. It has attracted great attention from ophthalmologists in recent years. In order to reduce the incidence of dry eye after eye surgery and improve the effect of surgical treatment, experts from the Chinese Branch of the Asian Dry Eye Society and other related academic organizations have conducted in-depth discussions on the dry eye related to eye surgery, in terms of its definition, risk factors, pathogenesis, clinical characteristics, diagnosis, treatment and prevention, to form expert consensus opinions for reference in clinical work. This consensus further standardizes and promotes the prevention and treatment of dry eye in China, and thus improves the quality of eye surgery. (Chin J Ophthalmol, 2021, 57: 564-572).
