Abstract
Experiments covering one season show that larvae of the pecan weevil ( Curculio caryae Hom) can be prevented from burrowing into the soil under pecan trees by hand raking and rolling and to a lesser degree by raking alone when such operations are performed just previous to the time of emergence of the larvae from the nuts.
