Abstract

The purpose of the experimental studies presented in this article was to evaluate the effectiveness of the cab protection device (protective frame) of a wheeled skidding tractor when it overturns. As a result, the "force – deformation" relationship and the determination of the energy absorbed by the protection device during lateral loading are constructed. The test object is a mock–up of the protective frame of the cab of a wheeled skidding tractor, made on a reduced scale (M 1:4).
