Abstract

A technique for assessing the stress-strain state of ROPS under lateral loading is presented, which allows at the design and fine-tuning stage to evaluate the energy-absorbing properties of ROPS with minimal time, which, in turn, allows us to judge the quality of the protective device being developed and the degree of ensuring safe working conditions for the operator during the operation of the machine being created in the future. The methodology for assessing the stress-strain state of the ROPS cab of a wheeled skidding tractor under lateral loading, taking into account the influence of technological defects, allows us to estimate the maximum length of the defect and the load.
