Abstract

This study investigates experimental test on 8-pole 36-slot dual three-phase synchronous reluctance motor according to different two winding configurations. The characteristics of motor for the two winding configurations were analyzed by changing the winding distribution of two three-phase system. The experiment was carried out using one three-phase inverter instead of two inverters for the convenience of experiment since this paper deals with the symmetric models The flux and torque characteristics are analyzed according to different dq-axis currents under healthy and half control mode conditions. In addition, torque and power versus speed characteristics are analyzed under half control and short-circuit modes.
