Abstract

This study analyzed and presented the effect from outdoor noise to the annoyance response according to the reverberation time difference in the outdoor space. The results were drawn from two experiments to evaluate the subjective response according to the reverberance in an outdoor space. The analysis was conducted by using a statistics technique on if the reverberance influences on the annoyance response regarding daily and environment noises occurring in and from outdoor spaces through two experiments, especially focused on the effect of reverberation time. The increase of annoyance following the increase of sound pressure level was confirmed. The reverberation time was confirmed to influence on the annoyance response as well by guide voice and small gong. Especially, the daily noise frequently occurring in outdoor spaces and having a wide range of timely change in the sound level was more influenced from the reverberation time.
