Abstract
This study built up an experimental device which can implement the study of boiling heat transfer performance of CO <inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</inf> on tubes in water-to-water heat pump. It also conducted a study of pool boiling heat transfer of CO <inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</inf> on smooth horizontal copper tube. Correlations for the average boiling heat transfer coefficients of CO <inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</inf> on smooth horizontal tubes in water-to-water heat pump with certain evaporation pressure and heat flux are obtained from the experimental data. This has provided necessary experimental data for the calculation of heat transfer in flooded evaporator.
