Abstract

Three composite beam specimens with different connectors were tested to study the connection performance of lightweight aggregate concrete filled steel tube - concrete beams, including perfobond connector, stud connector and bent bar connector. Based on the experiment, test process and connectors bearing mechanism are analyzed. The capacity of three specimens is also compared. It is shown that, compare to stud connector and bent bar connector, perfobond connector can connect the lightweight aggregate concrete filled steel tube beam and concrete plate effectively, and make sure the two parts work together. The shear bearing capacity of perfobond connector sepecimen is large then the ones of stud connector and bent bar connector specimens in this test, and its relative slip between the lightweight aggregate concrete filled steel tube beam and concrete plate is smaller with the same load. So the connection effect of perfobond connector is better than the two others.
