Abstract
This paper draws inspiration from the natural phenomenon of raindrops landing in the air, and puts forward a kind of valveless piezoelectric pump with raindrop-shaped tubes. According to this idea, we designed and manufactured a valveless piezoelectric pump with raindrop-shaped tubes, which is driven by a piezoelectric vibrator. Firstly, we briefly introduce the structure of the valveless piezoelectric pump with raindrop-shaped tubes. Because of the complex internal structure of the raindrop-shaped tubes, the 3D printing technology is used to ensure its interior smooth accuracy. Secondly, the working principle of the valveless piezoelectric pump with raindrop-shaped tubes is analyzed. Finally, we experimentally demonstrate the novel design of the valveless piezoelectric pump with raindrop-shaped tubes. and conducts the experimental study of flow rate and pressure head. The experimental results show that under the voltage excitation of 280Vp-p, the maximum flow rate is 1.22 ml/min when frequency is 28Hz. the maximum pressure head is 12mm when frequency is between 32-34Hz.
