Abstract

The X-ray CuKβ2,5 emission band in the tetragonal YBa2Cu3O7−x was measured; our measurements [1] of CuKβ2,5 bands of the orthorhombic YBa2Cu3O7−x' CuO and Cu2O were completed by the high energy tails. The X-ray K bands of these materials are compared with the valence photoemission spectra and the electronic states are discussed. In the CuKβ2,5 band of the superconductivity YBa2Cu3O7−x a feature is found which corresponds to the ofteb discussed satellite of valence photoemission spectra at -9 eV. Calibrating measurements of CuO were carried out; they enabled us to relate the X-ray K emission and absorption bands and correctly locate the prepeak in the Cu K absorption bands.
