Abstract
Human knee contains a cartilage (tissue) in between the femur and tibia to reduce the friction and shock. Articular cartilage was removed by meniscectomy operation if it was infected or damaged. To analyze the meniscectomy patient's surface interaction characteristics and dynamic behavior the knee joint needs to be inquired. The dynamic force has a high impact on the human knee related disorders such as osteoarthritis, etc. A biodynamic frame of knee joint has been developed for the research on knee Pain. The human femur and tibia bones were used to create the knee joint in this study. The vibration at various amplitude transmitted to the model. Due to the vibrations the condyle region of the knee was degenerated. Degeneration in the knee affect the patient's normal gait. The wear rate of the knee need to be analyzed. Surface interaction characteristics identified by weighing the knee in each amplitude range. Result showed the surface interaction characteristics and dynamic behavior of knee of the meniscectomy patients. By analysis, the results showed that the knee oscillation was totally different in various frequencies. These results were not as same as to real human knee joint. But it can be used as a reference to determine dynamic properties the human knee joint in vivo.
