Abstract

This paper is to study the thermal analysis of vapor compression refrigeration system using R134a in primary circuit and Al2O3-Water based nano-fluids in secondary circuit. The study provides the information of the secondary fluids input conditions, Performance parameters of vapour compression refrigeration system using eco-friendly refrigerants and without nano materials, Effect of overall evaporator heat transfer coefficient using different nano particles mixed with R718 in the secondary evaporator circuit and R134a in primary circuit, the compressor power consumption and the system overall energy performance. Such an analysis with the help of engineering equation solver software (EES) tool can be conveniently useful to compare the thermal performance of different nano-particles (i.e., Al2O3, TiO2) based nano fluid as a secondary fluid in a vapor compression refrigeration system.
