Abstract

Annotation Purpose. Experimental establishment of regularities of the process of drying chicken manure due to the use of exhaust air from the poultry house. Methods. The experimental research is based on methods of experiment planning and static processing of the obtained data. Calculations, processing of experimental data, modeling and graphical display of dependencies were performed using application software for Windows: Microsoft Excel. Results. The number of conveyors for drying fresh chicken litter with a layer of 3, 7 and 10 cm with air with a temperature of 30–35 °C and 20–22 °C using a bubble air from the poultry house is determined. Conclusions 1. The construction-technological scheme of the experimental sample of technical means for drying of chicken manure by means of exhaust air from a poultry house is developed. 2. Experimental studies of the process of loading manure across the width of the perforated pallet (sieve). It is established that the greatest uniformity of 88% is provided by the conveyor with the bilateral screw for distribution. 3. It was experimentally determined that in the process of drying with exhaust air with a temperature of 30–35 °С and a constant speed of 4.1–4.6 m/s in the summer, the humidity of chicken manure from the initial 68 % decreased to the required 15 % in 22 hours. In the cold season, at an air temperature of 20–22 °С, with the same air speed for 22 hours, the humidity of the manure decreased from 68 % to 20 %, which indicates the need to heat the air to achieve drying time to the required humidity of 15 %.
