Abstract

Objective To investigate the pharmacological effect of compound Danshen Jianli granule on exertional fatigue induced by simulated high intensity training at sea in mice.Methods One hundred KM mice were randomly divided into 5 groups:the control group,the positive control group,and the low,mid and high dosage groups (72,216,864 mg/kg),each consisting of 20 animals.Fourteen days after gastrogavage,the duration of swimming time,and changes in such biochemical data as blood lactate,urea nitrogen and hepatic glycogen were detected respectively.Results Compound Danshen Jianli granule could significantly prolong the duration of the mice swimming with load [ (486 ± 168 ),(596 ± 145 ),(646 ± 116)s ].Clearance of blood lactate [ (39.3 ± 2.28 ),(48.6 ± 3.26 ) and ( 54.10 ± 1.66 ) μmol/( L · min) ],levels of hepatic glycogen [ (27.36 ± 6.24 ),(33.62 ± 4.76),( 37.34 ± 5.54 ) mg/g ] were increased obviously,while contents of urea nitrogen [ ( 11.12 ± 1.60),( 10.38 ± 1.50),( 10.06 ± 1.00) mmol/L] was decreased,all with statistical significance (P <0.05 or 0.01 ).Conclusions Compound Danshen Jianli granule has an obvious effect on exertional fatigue and is a Chinese medicinal preparation effective on exertional fatigue.
