Abstract

The solubility of carbon dioxide in aqueous solutions of 10 wt% MEA + 5 wt% DAP and 12.5 wt% MEA + 2.5 wt% DAP is measured over a temperature range of 313.15 to 333.15 K and pressure ranging from 13 to 215 kPa using pressure decay method. The solubility of CO2 increases by decreasing temperature at constant pressure and increasing pressure at constant temperature. The results showed that CO2 solubility increases with increasing DAP concentration. The Kent-Eisenberg improved model is used to correlate experimental results with good agreement.
