Abstract
In this paper there are presented results of experimental investigation of young concrete properties. During design process of concrete structures there is used number of mechanical properties of concrete that are not normally part of the concrete specifications. Desirable values are often related to primary parameter of concrete ā mean concrete compressive strength. Some of them are poorly or even not at all described at the very beginning of concrete maturing. This paper describes results obtained from common mechanical test of compressive and tensile strength, shrinkage strain and two authorās test dealing with creep under constant compressive and tensile stresses of young concrete and also temperature development in quasi-adiabatic conditions.
