Abstract

Laser transmission experiment with a link length of 2500m was carried out in Xi’an region at night. Which studied the statistical characteristics of irradiance scintillation in overcast, sunny, rainy, snowy and smoggy weather. The intensity distribution law of the spot was analyzed through the method of Three-dimensional pseudo-color visualization. The refractive index structure constants of the atmosphere under different weather conditions were measured by scintillation method, and the intensity variation was measured. The Irradiance scintillation characteristics were analyzed by Rytov variance. The results show that: The intensity of the spot obeys the Gaussian distribution. Near geometric center of light spots, the steepness of light spots is the largest in sunny days, followed by overcast days, while rainy days and snowy days are relatively gentle. The maximum light intensity of light spots decreases gradually in the order of sunny days, overcast days, smoggy days, rainy days and snowy days. The fluctuation degree of scintillation index in sunny days is the largest, and t he fluctuation of light intensity in the most time of sunny days belongs to the medium fluctuation area, while the fluctuation of light intensity in the most time of smoggy days, rainy days, snowy days and overcast days belongs to the weak fluctuation area.
