Abstract

The profile of uniform charged surface of liquid hydrogen has been studied at different temperatures and voltages. Experiments have shown that profile can be described in terms of soliton solution of equation of equipotential charged surface in external electric field. At voltages higher some critical value the equilibrium shape of charged surface loses the stability that is accompanied by an extraction of charges into vapor.
