Abstract

Experimental double-differential cross sections (d2σ/dΩdE) for fast neutron-induced proton, deuteron, triton, and alpha-particle production on aluminum are reported, at several incident neutron energies between 25 and 65 MeV, for outgoing particle energies above the experimental energy thresholds. Angular distributions were measured at laboratory angles between 20° and 160°. Reliable extrapolated spectra are derived for very forward (2.5° and 10°) and very backward angles (170° and 177.5°). Based on these experimental data, energy-differential (dσ/dE), angle-differential (dσ/dΩ), and total production cross sections (σT) are reported for each outgoing particle.
