Abstract

The paper is structured in four parts. On first part is presented an analysis of the papers and works referring to transformers who operates in harmonic regime (HR). In the second part is presented a synthesis of mathematical model to evaluate power losses in transformers which operates in HR. On the third part is presented the lab test benchmark and working/testing method applied by the authors of the paper on experimental testing of the electric transformer operating in HR, for determining the total and auxiliary active and reactive power losses, in HR. This part also contains some of the results of the test made upon five types of transformers in no-load, short-circuit and load condition, on three level of HR and also on sinusoidal regime (SR). The practical results are mainly the values of the total and auxiliary active, reactive power losses and also the losses in the main components of the transformer (windings, magnetic core). The last part of this paper has the comparative analysis of the power losses values experimental obtained and those obtained analytical, the values of the correction coefficients and the conclusions.
