Abstract

An experiment of He-Ne laser with 632nm wavelength dazzling a CCD array detector is performed and some abnormal crosstalk phenomena are observed. The traditional “bucket” model is established and used to simulate the process of saturation and diffusion of charges within the potential wells. Unfortunately the simulation results cannot explain the experimental phenomena very well. Then, a finite element simulation model of laser dazzling CCD detector based on the diffusion theory of electrons and holes in semiconductors is established and simulation calculation is performed. The simulation and experimental results show that the trend of the simulation curves is consistent with the experimental curves. Therefore, the simulation model can be used to further study the effects of laser dazzling CCD detector.
