Abstract

The XBee modules provide I/O pins that can connect to electronic devices to report conditions to another XBee module elsewhere. This experiment explains how to configure two XBee modules with 16-bit addresses so one can transmit digital data and the other can receive it. The transmitter will have an active digital-input pin and the receiver will display data in the X-CTU Terminal window. Instructions explain how to interpret the received bytes to obtain useful results.
