Abstract

The article examines the courtyard areas of residential buildings during the period of industrial housing construction in the 70s-80s of XX century on the example of the city of Karaganda, Kazakhstan. The analysis of the current state of organization, functional zoning, and improvement of courtyard spaces is carried out. Arising the question of the problems in the organization of residential adjoining territories that arose in the past century and their accordance with economic growth and modernization of the country. The article considers what problems with the implementation of the project during the reorganization of the courtyard territory can appear.
