Abstract

Abstract This paper is concerned with the existence, uniqueness and asymptotic behavior of traveling wave fronts for a vector disease model. We first establish the existence of traveling wave fronts by using geometric singular perturbation theory. Then the asymptotic behavior and uniqueness of traveling wave fronts are obtained by using the standard asymptotic theory and sliding method. In addition, our method is also suitable to establish the uniqueness and asymptotic behavior of traveling wave fronts for a cooperative system.
