Abstract
In this paper we study the existence of positive solutions for the problem (0.1) Δ 2u+cΔu=f(x,u) in Ω, u⩾0, u≢0 in Ω, u=Δu=0 on ∂Ω, where c<λ 1(Ω) and f( x, u) satisfies the local superlinearity and sublinearity condition.
