Abstract
We compare first-principles angle-resolved photoemission (ARPES) computations with the corresponding measurements from an underdoped single crystal of La 2− x Sr x CuO 4 (LSCO) using an experimental geometry different from that employed in earlier work [S. Sahrakorpi et al., Phys. Rev. Lett. 95 (2005) 157601, T. Yoshida et al., Phys. Rev. B 74 (2006) 224510]. A high level of accord is found between theory and experiment extending over the first and higher Brillouin zones (BZs), further supporting the notion that a quasiparticle remnant persists in LSCO despite the presence of strong correlation effects in the system.
