Aldous Huxley published Brave New World. Picasso was 50. Pablo Picasso was wealthy, famous, and discontent. Man Ray’s photographic portrait shows him uncomfortable, distracted. His marriage to Olga Khokhlova was in trouble, and he was in a clandestine relationship with 22-year-old Marie-Therese Walter, the model for many of the paintings in this exhibition.
